Yesterday I saw this TED talk from a guy named Gever Tulley I thought you'd find interesting.

Gever runs the Tinkering School where he teaches kids to solve problems and think creatively by using tools and tackling big projects.

In this talk, Gever says that we we live in a "warning-label" culture. Have you ever read the back of a marshmallow bag?

He says that kids thrive when they're given new challenges and freedoms.

And that letting them handle "dangerous" things helps them be more confident and creative.

Some of his ideas seem kind of crazy, like letting your kids play with knifes (!), but I'd love to know what you think.
